30 minutes before this shot was taken, I was actually a nervous wreck. The uncooperative skies did not look one bit good and these bridal gowns were not made to be shot in the rain. Plus it was my first time working with the team of Her World Brides so I really did not want the shoot to be postponed. It was a lot of pacing back and forth while shooting up prayers to God cause well, it's not like the weather is under my control.
25 minutes later, hair and makeup gets done and I bring the model and the team to our first shooting location. Skies clear a little. Everything is set up, composition decided and just as I take my first shot, boom the first ray of sunlight shines in. Quite the miracle. The one good thing out of the whole cloudy situation was that the natural light produced was really soft and beautiful. I had another Octa brought in to complement the natural lighting and that pretty much completed the look.
Thanks go out to the whole team, who worked tirelessly bringing equipment from location to location while trying to avoid letting the gowns get dragged through the mud. We somehow managed to get the shots before sun went down which is another miracle itself considering the amount of gowns we shot in that duration. Anyway, here's a BTS shot of the model looking absolutely radiant. Life's unfair sometimes.
